The Washington County
Historical Society will
hold the annual Book
Sale on Saturday May 2nd
from 10AM-2PM at the
Museum in Chipley,
located under the
historic Chipley water
tower at the
intersection of Hwy 90
and Hwy 77.
For Sale will be books
written about Washington
County and the
surrounding area as well
as some written by local
authors.
Books by E.W. "Judge"
Carswell will be the
predominant inventory.
We have depleted our
stock of his book
Tales of Grandpa
Fitzhugh and some of
his other titles are in
short supply.
Historian and Author
Dale Cox will be at this
Washington County
Historical Society book
sale.
Mr. Cox
has written numerous
books about the area and
also served as one of
the editors for Judge
Carswell's books. For

Author Hueland " Gator"
Brown will have copies
of his book Too
Tough to Die
available for purchase
and Mrs. Milton Everett
has consented to bring
her inventory of The
Everetts of Orange Hill
written by her
husband Milton Everett.
Mrs. Roger " Winkie"
Vanlandingham's book
recounting her childhood
on Chestnut Hill will
also grace the event.
There will also ne a
supply of the book
Simply Florida, A Taste
of the Flavors from the
Sunshine State, a
new cookbook being
offered by the
Agricultural Extension
Service.
